KGRL offers comprehensive services as either a full turnkey partner or as part of a project team. Beyond supply and installation systems integration, we deliver architectural and building instructions. We install studio and transmission equipment, coordinating with existing contractors responsible for buildings, transmitter masts, and generators. With extensive experience in managing multidisciplinary complex projects, we also provide project management and coordination services.

We recommend scheduling a project meeting in the first week to ensure efficient communication of roles and responsibilities and to identify any gaps early. During the training phase, content creation and scheduling implementation can be addressed, and we have partners who can assist with content delivery and audio/video branding.

Project Phasing and Timescales

The first step to move the project forward is the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to confirm the contract, followed by the receipt of a deposit, which will mark the commencement of the project.

KGRL staff, in conjunction with the client, will create the detailed design, utilizing local information about the existing finished building and transmitter sites. Following the design phase, the ordering of equipment will commence.

KGRL will arrange shipping, local clearing, and transport to the site. Once the goods arrive and the site is ready, installation and training dates will be confirmed. The on-site work will be completed within three weeks.

Proposed Studio Solutions

The radio or TV project is based on the Integrated Broadcast Centre design, featuring key elements such as a Live Studio, Production Studio, 2KW and 1KW Transmitter Rooms, a News Room/Workstation, and an Online Video & Audio Streaming Area. Each studio is designed for both production and broadcast purposes, with one serving as the main On-Air facility and the other as a backup. This setup ensures continuous daily broadcasting without shutdowns for maintenance.

Acoustic panels and fire-retardant acoustic foams will be installed in each studio, with colors matching the station logos for branding. If branding information is unavailable, a proposed scheme will be submitted for approval. The News Room Workstation equipment will be installed in standard office environments, enabling reporters to transfer audio from portable field recorders to the content server for editing and creating news cuts for broadcast.

The broadcast console will include integrated Telco lines linked to Fixed Wireless Terminal facilities, enhancing phone call integration from dedicated lines during broadcasts.
